124 Group Pty Ltd - WPT League Regional Terms of Service

These Regional Terms of Service ("Regional Terms") apply specifically to WPT League poker events operated by 124 Group Pty Ltd (ABN: 13 678 806 678) under licence from World Entertainment LLC. These Regional Terms are supplementary to the broader WPT League Terms of Service and apply only to venues, events, and regions directly operated or managed by 124 Group Pty Ltd ("124G", "we", "our").

By entering, registering for, or participating in any WPT League event hosted by 124G, all persons irrevocably agree to be bound by these Regional Terms, the broader WPT League Terms of Service, and any venue-specific rules in effect. These terms apply regardless of whether the player has formally acknowledged them. Entry into an event constitutes ongoing acceptance.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Marketing, Media and Consent

  • Participants acknowledge and agree that photographs, video recordings, or other media may be captured during events.

  • 124G reserves the right to use these materials for marketing, promotional, commercial, or archival purposes across all platforms, without additional notice or compensation.

  • Any concerns must be raised in writing prior to commencement of play. Continued presence at the event will be taken as acceptance.

2. Promotional, Bounty, and Credit Funds Policy

  • All promotional, bounty, and ticket/credit funds are held in trust by 124G solely for use in relation to WPTL events.

  • Promotional funds include, but are not limited to, leaderboard prizes, bonus pools, or prize boosts.

  • Bounty funds refer to funds collected through optional bounty payments and are reserved for distribution in bounty-specific formats as designated.

  • Ticket/credit funds include non-cash entries awarded via promotions, earned points, or vouchers, and are redeemable only at approved 124G-operated events.

  • These funds are never co-mingled with operational revenue and will be accounted for transparently. Funds are held in trust by 124G, though in some circumstances may be held in trust by one or more of our host venues.

  • 124G reserves the right to modify, reallocate, or withdraw promotions provided via its website and/or social platforms.

  • Players are not entitled to convert these funds to cash unless specifically provided for in writing.

3. Liability and Risk Acknowledgement

  • Poker involves elements of skill and chance. By participating, players accept all inherent risks including financial loss and variable outcomes.

  • 124G bears no liability for losses, personal injury, theft, emotional distress, or incidental damages resulting from participation.

  • Players are responsible for their own behaviour, belongings, and safety. Liability for incidents rests solely with the individual unless gross negligence by 124G is proven.

  • External factors such as venue availability, severe weather, public health orders, or technical disruptions may cause changes or cancellations. In such cases, 124G accepts no liability for consequential loss.

4. Player Conduct and Disciplinary Action

  • Respectful conduct is mandatory. Players must adhere to fair play principles and all lawful instructions of 124G staff.

  • Prohibited conduct includes (but is not limited to):

    • Threatening or abusive behaviour;

    • Cheating, collusion, or deception;

    • Intoxication, harassment, or refusal to follow procedures;

    • Undisclosed prize or chip-sharing deals where prohibited.

  • Breaches may result in penalties ranging from warnings to permanent bans at 124G’s sole discretion.

5. Entry, Buy-Ins and Refunds

  • All buy-ins must be paid before play begins. Late registration is permitted only within the designated window advertised.

  • Rebuys, addons, and optional entries must be paid at the time of request.

  • Refunds will not be issued once a player has participated in any hand, unless the event is cancelled before the first blind level concludes.

  • In the case of cancellation or material disruption, 124G will act in good faith to provide an equitable resolution via credit or rescheduling at 124G discretion.

6. Partner Venue Ticket Purchase, Ticket Resale & Private Ticket Purchase, and Discounted Tickets

  • Discounted tickets purchased via Partner Venues (e.g. Club ticketing platforms) are strictly non-transferable and may not be resold or transferred for personal gain. Any attempt to do so may result in cancellation without refund. During a stated series or special event, resale of excess tickets may be permitted only if the original purchaser has already bagged for Day 2 and prior written authorisation has been granted by 124G.

  • These restrictions are in place to prevent scalping, ensure fair access, and reduce the operational burden between venues and League staff.

  • All ticket sales via Partner Venues are final and non-refundable unless required by law. Tickets are valid only for the event stated and will expire thereafter.

  • The purchaser is solely responsible for retaining their original receipt as proof of purchase. Failure to present this proof at the time of event entry may result in the ticket being deemed void, without refund or replacement.

  • By completing a purchase, the buyer consents to their details being shared with 124 Group Pty Ltd for event management purposes and future event planning.

  • Players who purchase tickets from third parties (e.g. other players) do so entirely at their own risk. 124G makes no guarantees regarding the legitimacy, validity, or eligibility of any ticket not purchased through official channels, and entry may be denied. Players are strongly encouraged to contact 124G via the website prior to any private transaction. The seller of the ticket must notify 124G in writing, providing purchaser details.

  • 124G reserves the right to reject entry or cancel tickets issued in error by Partner Venues. For example, if a venue exceeds a discounted ticket cap (e.g. sells 100 instead of the intended cap of 30), 124G may honour only the intended amount and direct the venue to refund the remainder.

  • Payment-related queries for tickets sold via Partner Venues must be directed to the venue up until the commencement of the intended Event. 124G may not assist with payment queries or otherwise until the time of the event in question.

  • 124G may offer discounted tickets by reducing the prize pool portion while maintaining the standard WPTL admin fee. For example, a $575 ticket (500+75) may be discounted to $500 (425+75). This structure applies to all such discounts.

7. Game Validity and Player Threshold

  • A minimum of 12 seated players is required for an event to be considered an official WPTL tournament.

  • Events with fewer than 12 players may still proceed but may be ineligible for guarantees and promotions. Applicability is determined at 124G's discretion and will be made clear at the event.

  • Where a partial guarantee applies for fields with fewer than 12 players (whereby specifically stated in advertising), a minimum of 4 players is required for the tournament to proceed.

  • No refund or compensation is required where this condition was disclosed.

8. Prize Pool Adjustments and Guarantees

  • Prize guarantees apply only if 12 or more players are seated unless explicitly stated otherwise by 124G.

  • Prize values may be adjusted based on chip count deals or operational requirements. All such adjustments must be approved by an event official.

  • In cases of insufficient attendance or venue issues, 124G reserves the right to cancel or modify prize structures with appropriate notice.

9. Terms Updates and Disputes

  • 124G may revise these Regional Terms at any time. It is the player’s responsibility to remain informed.

  • Updates will be posted at www.wptl.com.au and deemed accepted through continued participation.

  • Any disputes will be handled by 124G in accordance with internal processes, with final determination made by authorised officials.

ADDENDUMS

1. WPT League Shoalhaven Promotions Structure from 01/04/2025

  • 5% of the total prize pool is allocated to the Promotions Pool. Promotional funds may be allocated to the “Lucky Hands Jackpot” and other approved player-facing promotions. 100% of all promotional funds are returned to players. No portion is retained by WPTL.

  • Players must opt-in by paying $5 at the start of the tournament to be eligible for Lucky Hands payouts.

  • Nightly Lucky Hands: at the start of each game, one “Lucky Hand” (e.g. Q♠9♠, J♠8♦) will be announced. If a player wins a hand using the listed specific hand combination, they receive $20 cash. One hand is in play if there are fewer than 10 jackpot entries; two hands if there are 10 or more. WPTL TD will introduce the second hand in a reasonable timeframe, though WPTL reserves the right for it to be introduced up to 15 minutes after late registration (to allow time for TD finish paperwork & determine the second hand, if applicable). It is the players’ responsibility to understand which hands are eligible. Players can seek clarification from the TD at any time.

  • Jackpotting Lucky Hands: the jackpot builds and pays out when players win with big hands. Quads win 10% (flop), 5% (turn), or 2% (river). Straight flushes win 20%, 15%, or 10%, and royal flushes win 100%, 85%, or 70%, depending on the street the hand is made. Example: if the jackpot is at $900 and a player (who paid their $5 at registration) has Q♠T♠, and the board is J♠K♠2♦A♠5♦, the player has won $765 (85%*$900).

  • To qualify, the hand must be won with at least one hole card playing. Cannot rabbit-hunt.

  • The Tournament Director must be called to the table for verification at the time of the hand. A photo of the player and winning hand is required prior to commencing the next hand. All payouts subject to TD verification.

  • The Lucky Hands Jackpot replaces the previous Bounty System. Jackpot contributions from the previous Bounty System will carry over. Any player who contributed more than $40 into the previous bounty system will be credited the excess in tournament credits.

  • The Jackpot starts at $800 (natural value $795) on 01/04/2025, with $215 in credits issued to eight eligible players per reasoning above.

  • The Lucky Hands Jackpot builds naturally and is rounded down to the nearest $100 for publicised value (or rounded up if within $20). Example: if the natural jackpot reaches $720, the publicised jackpot remains $700. If an additional $30 is added the next game, the jackpot value is $700 (natural $750). If an additional $40 is added the next game thereafter, the jackpot value is $800 (natural $790). The purpose of this is to retain consistency and ease-of-use in calculation of payouts. To reiterate, no funds are withheld by WPTL/124G.

  • For any jackpot hand payouts greater than $200, or if >$200 has been paid out in cash for promotions on the given night, any jackpot payment thereafter may be paid within seven (7) business days via bank transfer.

  • For Nightly Lucky Hands, if there are inadequate funds between the optional entries paid & 5% promo funds, the Lucky Hand payout will be whatever funds contributed up to $20. Example: if there are 7 tournament entries, $200 total prizepool and 1 Promotions Entry, the Lucky Hands payout value (of which only that 1 paid-player will be eligible for) will be $15 (5%*$200 + $5 total optional promo funds collected).

  • This new structure supersedes all previous Bounty and Promotions offerings.

  • There is no minimum ongoing jackpot value.

  • WPT League / 124 Group Pty Ltd reserves the right to amend this promotional structure at any time.

2. WPT League Central Coast & Hunter Promotions Structure from 26/05/2025

  • 5% of the total prize pool is allocated to the Promotions Pool. Promotional funds may be allocated to the “Lucky Hands Jackpot” and other approved player-facing promotions. 100% of all promotional funds are returned to players. No portion is retained by WPTL.

  • Jackpotting Lucky Hands: the jackpot builds and pays out when players win with big hands. Quads win 7.5% (flop), 5% (turn), or 2.5% (river). Straight flushes win 20%, 15%, or 10%, and royal flushes win 70%, 60%, or 50%, depending on the street the hand is made. Example: if the jackpot is at $900 and a player (who paid their $5 at registration) has Q♠T♠, and the board is J♠K♠2♦A♠5♦, the player has won $540 (60%*$900).

  • The Jackpot starts at $500 (natural value $520) on 26/05/2025, with $2,270 coming from the overall promotions pool, and $1750 due to the prior negative bounty balance.

• This new structure supersedes all previous Bounty and Promotions offerings.

  • There is no minimum ongoing jackpot value.

  • WPT League / 124 Group Pty Ltd reserves the right to amend this promotional structure at any time.

3. WPT League Illawarra Jackpotting Promotions Structure from 01/06/2025

  • Eligibility for Jackpotting Lucky Hands is tied to entering the WPTLI Bounty System at commencement of play. Players must opt-in by paying $5 at the start of the tournament to be eligible for both the Bounty and the Jackpotting Lucky Hands payouts.

  • Jackpotting Lucky Hands: the jackpot builds and pays out when players win with big hands. Quads win 3% (flop), $20 (turn), or $20 (river). Straight flushes win 5%, 4%, or 3%, and royal flushes win 40%, 20%, or 10%, depending on the street the hand is made. Example: if the jackpot is at $1,500 and a player (who paid their $5 at registration) has Q♠T♠, and the board is J♠K♠2♦A♠5♦, the player has won $300 (20%*$1,500).

  • To qualify, the hand must be won using BOTH hole cards. Cannot rabbit-hunt.

  • The Tournament Director must be called to the table for verification at the time of the hand. A photo of the player and winning hand is required prior to commencing the next hand. All payouts subject to TD verification.

  • The Jackpot starts at $2,500 on 01/06/2025 as a one-off transfer from the current Promotions balance.

  • Any Jackpot payout will be in consecutive order, including across tournaments running concurrently, with the following Jackpot payout based on the new value after the previous payout is subtracted. Example: if the jackpot is at $1,500 and ‘player X’ wins 20% at 8:43PM at ‘Venue A’, then ‘Player Y’ wins 3% at 8:47PM at ‘Venue B’. Player X will receive $300 (20%*$1,500), and Player Y will receive $50 (4%*[1500-300], rounded to the nearest $5). If the timeframe between the two payouts is indistinguishable and the percentage payouts are the same, they will be averaged. If the percentage payouts are different, the smaller of the two payouts will occur first followed by the larger.

  • All payouts must be verified and approved by WPTLI Management. In the case of Management not being able to be contacted (first contact: Mitchell Webster, second contact: Travis Downton), the TD must consult with any other TDs operating another game concurrently, and determine the appropriate payout (in the potential case of another Jackpot being won). On best efforts basis, TDs must send the knowledge of a Jackpot Payout through to the Team’s Group Chat as soon as feasible.

  • For any jackpot hand payouts greater than $200, or if >$200 has been paid out in cash for promotions on the given night, any jackpot payment thereafter may be paid within seven (7) business days via bank transfer.

  • There is no minimum ongoing jackpot value.

  • 20% of the total Illawarra Promotions Pool is allocated to the Jackpotting Lucky Hands Promotion. This will be calculated on the weeks’ prior Promotion and attributed every Sunday 10am. The new balance will come effective for any tournament with a start time proceeding this time.

  • Analysis will be conducted on the uptake of Bounty - at WPTLI’s discretion, if there is a statistically significant increase in average uptake of Bounty, excess funds relative to average Bounty uptake between 01/01/2025 and 29/05/2025 (inclusive, excluding Series) may be carried across to the Lucky Hands Jackpot.

  • WPT League / 124 Group Pty Ltd reserves the right to amend this promotional structure at any time.

4. Prizepool Boost Draw

For select events, a random Prizepool Boost is added on top of the funds contributed by the Players (‘Player Contribution’ post admin). The draw is conducted after registration closes via 3rd party software, with the given odds depending on the number of unique entries.

  • If 12 or more unique entries, the boost is randomly selected with the following odds:

    16/20 = $200, 2/20 = $400, 1/20 = $750, 1/20 = $1,000.

  • If fewer than 12 unique entries, the boost is capped at $400, with odds adjusted to:

    16/18 = $200, 2/18 = $400. The $750 and $1,000 options are removed.

  • A minimum of 4 unique entries is required for any event to officially commence.

Boost structure may be updated or withdrawn at the organiser’s discretion. By entering, players accept these terms.
